About Alagappa University
Alagappa University founded by Alagappa Chettiar in 1947, located in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1985 by the act of Tamil Nadu Government. Alagappa University has 39 departments, 2 constituent colleges, and 9 centers. Alagappa has multiple courses at different levels such as undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, diploma, and postgraduate diploma via distance education.
To make distance education more interesting than regular colleges, Alagappa University divides the Academic years into two semesters. Followed by the semester pattern, the examination scores divide into 25 marks for internal, and 75 marks for external. For B.Ed, B.Sc., and MCA courses university conducts a separate entrance test. Alagappa University is one of the most reputed universities in the state. Job opportunities are plenty after the course, and the college has great initiatives and encouragement for the students who have good ideas.
